Guy Danella is currently the Director of Development at Gold Circle
Films, an LA-based production and financing company. Gold Circle
specializes in making commercial films at the independent level, with
budgets ranging up to 30 million. Gold Circle has distribution deals
with Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Paramount Vantage, New
Line Cinema and Lions Gate and is responsible for the horror films
WHITE NOISE and James Gunn’s SLITHER. Currently, they are in post
production on the visceral occult thriller, TOWN CREEK, directed by
Joel Schumacher, and the supernatural thriller, THE HAUNTING IN
CONNECTICUT, starring Virginia Madsen. Both films are being
distributed domestically by Lions Gate.

Guy started as an assistant at Gold Circle and has been at the company
for 2 years. His primary tasks are to oversee half the slate,
shepherding in new projects, and to develop existing GCF material,
ensuring that it is production ready. Guy is ever-present at
festivals, scouring for potential remakes and up and coming directors,
both foreign and domestic. His first project at Gold Circle, THE NEW
DAUGHTER, is an elevated horror currently in pre-production and set
for a Feb ’08 start date with New Line attached to distribute. Kevin
Costner and Ivana Baquero (Pan’s Labyrinth) are attached to star, with
Spanish tyro director, Luis A Berdejo, at the helm. Guy is originally
from Boston, MA and is a graduate of Williams College ’03. He loves
the Red Sox and playing ping pong when he is not watching/making
horror films.

His latest film, The Day, was accepted to the 2011 Toronto Film Festival.
