Promotions, Programming & Online Content Assistant
Clear Channel Radio-Birmingham is accepting resumes for a potential future opening for the position of Promotions, Programming, and Online Content Assistant. We need someone who can be creative with concept and execution in addition to being very organized, and has programming knowledge for the following formats: Top 40, Urban, and Urban Inspirational. Essential Duties: • Develop and oversee all promotional and contest initiatives of station. • Directly supervise part time employees in the Promotions Department. • Write, create and produce on-air promotions. • Plan and develop station promotions. • Supervise stations contests including originating or adapting ideas, arranging prizes and listener events. • Maintain accurate records of contestants, and ensure contests are conducted in accordance with FCC regulations and law. • Represent station at community events and promotions. • Coordinate activities of other departments involved in production of promotions and remotes. • Maintain stations prize closet, inventory of station premiums and inventory and control of station banners. • Prepare affidavits for clients attesting to the promotional announcements aired for a particular campaign. • Coordinate all prizes and winners and make sure prizes are available for front desk distribution. Handle all release forms to ensure 1099’s are in order for distribution. • Ability to work some odd hours.• Selector experience is a plus, as well as sounding great on the air. • Ideal Candidate should understand all things social networking, automation systems and Microsoft office. Qualified candidates will also have a passion for web content and understand its importance and relevance to a successful radio station. Social Networking is a VITAL part of this job. •Duties including handling schedules and daily tracking of shows, and any other needed tasks •Maintaining Daily trackers for the station •Help in managing the stations website/social network including creating unique content, tracking statistics, assigning tasks for web team •Working with local teams and broadcasts to ensure we have the best stuff on-air • Work with radio stations to cover events and create great content •Assisting the Operations Director with any assigned tasks. • The candidate will be responsible for updating our websites and assist our local program directors and advertising executives. • Physically maintain sites with daily updates • Prepare necessary graphic/files for site • Search and be proactive in the development of content for each website • Enter and update site content • Assists in scheduling ads on site and programs • Stream monitoring for quality, ad placement, etc… • Assist station personnel with maintaining various elements on sites (promotions calendar, personality pages, etc…)
